Jigsaw puzzle

Everyone and everything around us compliment someone or something else. We all are part of a larger whole. If you look at relationships they do not mean anything if there is no one to compliment at the other end.

Marriages are examples of two persons living together in harmony (ahem...) with all their differences and similarities (Oh really!).

Let us look at what the Quran says about this relationship:

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
Al Quran Surah An Nisa Sign 1

We also find this heart warming sign about spouses:

And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
Al Quran Surah Ar Rum Sign 21

The puzzle of this relationship is complete only if both the spouses accept the fulfilling as well as the dissatisfying aspects in each other's personality and life.

A mother child relationship is one of the most beautiful of relationships that describes the amazing fulfillment a mother feels and the incredible security a child experiences.

The whole process of becoming a mother is a great learning and satisfying experience for the woman:

And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
Al Quran Surah Al Ahqaf  Sign 15

A child completes and beautifies the puzzle of this honourable relation when it becomes the coolness of its parent's eyes and respects and obeys them rightfully.

Siblings are such a nice example of persons with diverse characteristics enjoying together (and of course fighting too!). This relationship is healthy when siblings respect, love and support each other.

And and...not to mention friends! We are not even remotely related to some of our friends but they might be the best people to be around and the most trustworthy too. This puzzle is amazingly sweet and interesting. You hang around with friends and have a good time together. A normal day becomes a celebration when you spend your time with a great friend. This jigsaw becomes colourful and intriguing with the fact that you share your heartfelt feelings with each other. Sometimes you become the listener and the other the chatterbox. Sometimes it is the other way round.

But this is not something that is found everywhere to be the same. Some people do not have relatives, some remain unmarried whole of their lives, some do not have siblings, some are lonely with no friends and some are those who do not have children.

Now, with this totally different scenario, where you do not see someone conventionally complimentary to the other, one is still not incomplete. The one who does not have a friend, a sibling, parents, children or any one else for that matter to compliment him or her, has his/her Creator by the side.

Wasn't he or she created by God? Yes.

Doesn't God know that he or she is alone? Of course He Knows!

Doesn't God love His Creation who believes in Him? Yes, He does love each one of His Creation who recognizes Him as the Creator and He takes care of them.

Even if someone is all alone and does not have anyone to support him; he has God.
He must never lose Faith in God. He is there. He is Watching over us. He never leaves His slaves unattended.
If you are going through tough times always believe that God wants to bring you closer to Him. He wants to test you to see what is your modus operandi. What way you choose? Where do you head toward? What is on your mind?

Even in such a situation when there is no one by your side, if you do not turn to your Creator then there remains something missing inside.

The puzzle here is the search of Truth. You find a void around you and within you. You want to feel complete and search for peace. You search it mostly in the outside material things or in different ideologies. If a person ponders on his birth, life and death he will feel the need to understand things in depth. He will have the urge to fulfill his longing and the emptiness inside.

The life inside us which is called our soul is created by God, and no science can prove or deny this fact. Some things are just Unseen and you have to believe in them without having doubts and this exactly is  Faith.

I always ponder on the fact that God has given us life and sent us on this earth...did we have any say on that in the first place?
No!
God takes us back any time He wills...do we have any control on that?
No!
Then why do we insist on having a say on all the things in our life and want to control that which is none of our business!?
We must realize that we are mere created beings. We have been bestowed with amazing knowledge and intelligence to find the reality of our existence and the purpose of our life. If we do not use our brains in that then we will drain the whole of our life for this temporary world which was created for a limited time for us.
All the people on this earth compliment each other. The believers are said to be brothers and like building blocks for each other.

Allah says about the religion:

Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
Al Quran Surah Al Anbiya Sign 92

The sad state today is that the brotherhood of our Ummah is disengaged. The puzzle is scattered and some of the pieces that are necessary to complete the picture are missing. The Unity is missing. The compassion, the connection with the Lord is tattered. We need to repair the pieces and join the puzzle to get the whole picture.

About the strong relationship of believers our Prophet peace be upon him is reported to have said:

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do not hate one another, and do not be jealous of one another, and do not desert each other, and O, Allah's worshipers! Be brothers. Lo! It is not permissible for any Muslim to desert (not talk to) his brother (Muslim) for more than three days."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6065

The duties of a creation are to worship the Creator with prayer, good deeds and Trust. The Creator does not leave a soul without showing him the right guidance. It is the work of the person to seek the Truth, accept it and live it.

Hajj: In the Noble Qur'an

Hajj is not merely a journey to Makkah — it is a journey into the heart of surrender. The Qur’an speaks about Hajj with a blend of history, law, spirituality, and symbolism. It ties the pilgrim to Prophet Ibrāhīm عليه السلام, to the Kaʿbah, and to the timeless call that still echoes across the world. Hajj embodies all the forms of worship like prayers, charity and sacrifice. The pilgrim is set on a journey that requires physical, spiritual and emotional strength. One must be equipped with the required knowledge about all the rituals of this great act of worship. Patience and good character during this journey and complete submission to the Will of Allah can guarantee an accepted Hajj, by the Will and Grace of Almighty Allah.  1. The Origin of Hajj: Ibrāhīm’s Call Surah Al‑Hajj 22:27 وَأَذِّن فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ ‎ Allah commands Ibrāhīm عليه السلام to proclaim the pilgrimage: “Proclaim to th...

Why I wear Hijab.

The topic of Hijab has always been a controversial topic for many among those who are not Muslims and even among those who are Muslims.  When something is not understood clearly and is approached with a stance that is personal and emotional then it is indeed a matter of doubt and uncertainty. But, when you intend to understand something sincerely and try to find out its origin and meaning from the most authentic sources then there remains no doubt and hesitation and you tend to accept it readily with ease. The same goes for the topic of Hijab. Most of the people think that Hijab is a choice and not a command by Allah in the Noble Quran and they present various points to prove it.  I am just a student of Al Quran and I myself did not wear Hijab till I entered University. But one fine day, by the Will of Allah, I was reading the Chapter 24 The Light (An Noor) in the Quran. I came across the famous verses on Hijab and I felt something inside my heart. I realized that these are...
