He wants the people to utilize their intellect and free will to advance toward the Light and He draws them out from the darkness of ignorance to the Light of Guidance.

Philosophy of sharing

It was a pleasant day. She was in an energetic and positive mindset. For the past week she had been thinking of cooking something special for her family. She was not getting enough time to devote to the kitchen due to other activities. She was cooking the ordinary meals daily therefore it was the day! She felt quite happy that she got the time and energy to fulfill what she had been planning for so long. She prepared the dishes with all her heart and tasted them. They turned out to be perfect! She was too happy! She wanted to share the dishes with her friends and neighbours too. She sent her sons to the houses in her neighbourhood and to the house of her near relative to share the meals with them. What a feeling she had!

You know why she shared what she cooked? She shared that only because it tasted great and because she had prepared it with so much effort and love. She wanted people she cared about to enjoy them and benefit from them.

Suppose she had done all the efforts and the dishes did not come upto the mark. Suppose what she cooked got burnt or tasted really bad. Do you think she had shared that to her friends and relatives? Not at all!

Actually, what she shared was what she liked and believed in and she was sure about its being good and healthy for her family and for others.

Allah commands in Surah Al Baqarah sign 267:

O ye who believe! Give of the good things which ye have (honourably) earned, and of the fruits of the earth which We have produced for you, and do not even aim at getting anything which is bad, in order that out of it ye may give away something, when ye yourselves would not receive it except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of all wants, and worthy of all praise.
This is the beauty of sharing and the philosophy behind it.

  • We share what we like ourselves.
  • We share what we believe in.
  • We share what we feel is right.
  • We share what we think and believe to be the truth.
  • We share what we feel should be spread around.
  • We share what we expect others to know.
  • We share what we think would benefit others
  • What we share is actually our mindset.
  • It is our way of thinking and our opinion
Therefore, it is always better to share what you really believe in. Whatever you share should be of benefit to others in one way or the other. Never share falsehood, hearsays, rumours or hoaxes. Always confirm the thing and then share it around. It is always better to share glad tidings. It is always better to spread positivity and encouraging things, words, information and posts.

The world today is witnessing a turmoil almost everywhere. It is better if we share what we would like if shared with us.

A person must not be careless enough to ignore the ill consequences of the rumour, falsehood or negativities that he spreads forward.

Our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him taught us that even uttering a good word to someone is a charity!

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "On every joint of man, there is charity, on everyday when the sun rises: doing justice between two men is charity, and assisting a man to ride an animal or to load his luggage on it is charity; and a good word is charity, every step which one takes towards (the mosque for) Salat is charity, and removing harmful things from the way is charity".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The philosophy behind sharing should be charity, goodness and benefit of others. We must act responsibly whenever we intend to share things forward. Whether what we share are things or intangible things like thoughts and words, all should be spread around in good taste and good intentions.

Are you educated?

Education is not that which is displayed, printed on paper and later hung on the walls. It is displayed by our conduct that is printed on the hearts of people we deal with in our day to day life.

Education is the learning that helps us judge and handle situations in a better manner.
You tend to simplify the complexities. You become flexible and open minded and big hearted.
The thick glasses of prejudice, bias, partialities, hatred and superstitions tend to break as we gain knowledge and wisdom through education.

It is not just the lessons you read in the books, the lectures you attended and the marks that you got on your report cards. Education is what shows in your behaviour and way of thinking. If it did not change even after acquiring high degrees in any field then it is a moment of worry.

According to Wikipedia:

Education is the process of facilitating learningKnowledgeskillsvaluesbeliefs, and habits of a group of people are transferred to other people, through storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, or research. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners may also educate themselves in a process called autodidactic learning.[1] Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational.

How does it show that you are educated?

If ever you slip you know what to do. Basically, education constantly reminds you that you are learned and need to learn and learn which is a continuous process. This learning comes from experience by applying what you had previously learnt.

You become more civil. You know things. You keep yourself informed and do not react without knowledge and confirmation just on the hearsays.

According to Merriam Webster's Definition:

the knowledge, skill, and understanding that you get from attending a school, college, or university.

Therefore, it is not just the knowledge or skill but the understanding that we gain through them that includes in Education.

You are different from animals, of course! They act on impulse and survival techniques and you act according to your level of learning and intelligence paired with your education.

You have given so many years of your life to learn things and have spent a lot of money to acquire the qualifications. All the education that you saught was indeed not to attain good marks but to leave a mark of your learning, education, experience and wisdom on the hearts.

You are educated! Act like one.
